Very fine day with brilliant sun reflecting off snow--hat+sunscreen!
Snow very variable from soft with 4' postholes to moderate crust. We found it difficult to find best foot gear; switched from snowshoes to crampons to bareboot. Did meet two doing well with MSRs.
NB: don't go high without ice ax and crampons, especially if there is a freeze. |
