| Comments: |
There are areas of mud on both trails that can be plowed through - albeit a little sloppy. There are also areas of standing water on the Guinea Pond Trail - all but one of which can be easily avoided. At the second bridge about 1.5 miles in there is a pool of standing water which covers the entire trail for about 100 yards at depths of maybe 8-10 inches in places. On my way in I skirted the edge the best I could and on the way out I just took my boots and socks off, going barefoot for a while.
There were only a few people at the summit. Going in there were quite a few folks coming out but on my way out I only saw one other person. An excellent day to be out! |
