Water crossings on Skookumchuck easy on rocks |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in good condition. Sawed and removed one birch that was across Skookumchuck Trail. There is still one spruce across the Skookumchuck Trail that is an easy walk over. Nice rock stairs in the mid section of the Skookumchuck Trail. |

Decided to try a different circuit to and from Mt Lafayette which would have less traffic for most of the hike than the popular Old Bridle Path / Falling Waters loop. Walk on the Franconia Notch Recreation Path (aka Bike Path)passed by Echo Lake where I saw a blue heron and passed through nice autumn foliage.
On top of Mt Lafayette Heather and her family celebrated her completion of the 48 NH 4Ks. |
