| Water Crossing Notes: |
Bog bridge on Guinea Pond Trail gone. Heading south, divert right. The swamp becomes a narrow stream before it opens up into a second swamp further to the west. One can cross on solid rocks. Its possible to avoid any mud. Once across, head back to the left keeping swamp in sight. You will come back to the original trail that went to the missing bog bridge.
Lots of leaves on Guinea Pond trail made it hard to see the muddy spots. The little brook crossings just before the Mead and Black Pond trail heads were also difficult because of so many leaves covering the rocks and forming mini-dams. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Signs missing for Bennett Street trail at Sandwich summit. Sign missing for the Guinea Pond side trail. I guess the Gleason trail has been removed; no signs, and it is blocked off with brush. |

| Comments: |
Best views of color were from Mt Isreal looking toward Black Pond and from up on the ridge (Algonquin trail) looking toward Mt Isreal.
Went for a picture taking expedition but forgot my battery was in its charger. So I just got a long solo hike. Saw no one at any time on Sandwich mountain. Met a couple with 2 dogs on Mt Isreal summit clearing. |
