Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Mine was the only car in the big Brickett Place lot. There was one other when I got back, about 8 hours later.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Four crossings of Cold River all easy rock-hops. There is a flooded section of the Basin Trail a little west of the Pond - about 15 feet long and maybe 6 inches deep. It can be avoided by a rock-hop about 10 yards to the west.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Three blowdowns on the Royce Trail below the junction with Laughing Lion Trail, all easily circumvented.

Bugs: There were a few mosquitoes in the Brickett Place lot, when I finished.

Comments: I was surprised to have such a great loop nearly to myself, on a prime foliage Saturday. The Baldface Circle lot, just down the road, was overflowing, as always.
