Was surprised at how spectacular Table Rock is, and how exposed. Truly a no fall zone. Perhaps even more sketchy than the rock on Bondcliff, because it is so exposed on *both* sides. Although small, this is definately a hike that any serious hiker should have on their resume. Used the trailhead located 100 yards east of the entrance to the ski area, on the south side of Rt 26. The trail is fairly steep for the first 0.5 mile, then becomes more gradual. I'm told that the "other" trail is very steep the whole way. The trailhead for that one about 0.1 miles west of the top of the notch. |
