| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails mostly in good shape with some minor issues. There are two blow downs between Liberty and Flume (near Liberty). Right now one over and the other under. The under will get tougher with snow. There is a bit of a brush issue between little Haystack and Liberty. All trails below tree level have leaves that mask rocks and roots and require a bit more focus. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Nice hike for seasoned dogs. We saw lots of well behaved pups out taking their humans for a hike. |

I saw a few but not an issue |

After some adjusting of the plan, Franco dropped me off at the Old Bridle Trail and drove to Lincoln Woods. We had different needs for October so we met on Liberty after the two different hikes with one car day. The shoulder of Lafayette was cold and breezy with some ice early in the day. Views were fuzzy. Warmed up nicely going down the ridge and the views improved. Much better day than anticipated. Busy day on the ridge. |
