Comments
Comments: Spur trail to Wapack Trail (pretty short) was dry and in good shape. From there, the first half mile or so of the Wapack Trail was mostly dry.
Upon reaching the first ledgy area, the trail was increasingly icy. Extended stretches of trail covered in blue ice from frozen runoff. Some steeps with significant ice as well. I didn't put on my Microspikes because I didn't want to wear them down on the rock between patches, but probably should have in a few places.
Decent directional view from the summit. Also went down the Cliff Trail to the first eastern viewpoint. Didn't note any unobstructed White Mountain views from around the summit, but did see a white Mt. Washington in the far distance from an on-trail viewpoint about 2/3 of the way up.
