Comments
Comments: the road was snowmobile packed up to the summer parking. winslow trail had packed snow/loose frozen granular with significant ice flows along much of its middle section. the upper ledges were snow covered and free of ice and the summit area was mostly open rock with minimal snow/ice. barlow trail was also hard packed with minimal ice except in a couple short sections.

aggressive light traction recommended for all the ice. hillsound microspikes were just about perfect.

nice impromptu afternoon hike up kearsarge. cold up high and the light winds packed quite a bite, but blue skies, full sun and great views to go along with it. thanks to cynthia for a good hike.
