| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
lot well-plowed at Mead Base but not sanded - glad I had 4WD/snows.... access road also had snow drifts, narrow, and not well-sanded. Route 113 and Sandwich roads getting a LOT of frost heaves - good shakedown for your car's suspension system and a good chance to mix paint if you have any in your car. |

Fun late afternoon hike - only saw 2 people and they wore full crampons and carried an ice axe(?). Snow in the woods is very thin - bare under logs - quite sad this time of year!!! Views socked in and flurries made the woods there very, "lovely, dark and deep!" Glad the top was tracked out because there were some turns I would have missed. Fun hike! |
