Parking/Access Road Notes: Only two other cars at 8:00AM, snow on them; I assume they were hut visitors. Still only a total of 5 when I returned at 2:40 and the lot had been plowed

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing of note
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Just some limbs sagging with snow
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Trail breaking was tough work but if they're bigger, driven, and/or smart enough to follow, they'll do fine and sleep really, really well afterwards! One of mine wasn't thrilled about the wind (but also refused to let me lead and as a result conked out the second I started the car) and they were all a little wary of some of the drops on Carter-Moriah but overall did well. (Two are active, trail-experienced pups, one is not)
Bugs
Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I saw a stabilicer hanging by the post at the trailhead

Comments
Comments: It snowed overnight, not much at lower elevations and didn't add any effort since the trail had been traveled recently. Much of Carter Dome Tr was still easy to follow as well but it turned into trail breaking time! Not exactly sure where but after the switchbacks. Drifts abound towards the top but the wind wasn't terrible, especially with the trees for cover. From the summit, Carter-Moriah Tr started broken out with just a dusting on top but again turned to "trail breaking." Really, many unintentional butt slides! Once we passed the lake (and it's crazy deep drifts), everything was broken out again and it was breeze back to the car. It had been snowing for the last 3 hours or so of the hike and continued into our obscenely long drive home, so not sure how helpful this info will be come morning!
