Comments
Comments: Hit my turnaround time around 4 hours after starting. Was hoping to get to Thoreau Falls but the trails just took too much time. Good ski tracks here and there; faint tracks continuing on to Stillwater Jct and to Cedar Brook. I broke out what I could in the crusty snow/ice. Postholes in awkward spots!!! Still, a fine time in the woods with only a couple people seen all day. Some of the downhill sections of Pemi East Side trail were a little fast on the return - I used my best survival snowplow!!!!

Didn't make it to the bridge on the lower section of the Thoreau Falls Trail (TFT) - turned around at the south end of the first major crossing on the TFT - snow was VERY deep - was afraid of wallowing in it and sinking when I removed my skis.

Excellent day!!!!
