I did this as a quick night hike after Isolation. Everything was well packed out. A few ice patched just before the top of Starr King. I wondered if anyone had been to the Weeks from this side as I have been wanting to hike all three. I followed some well defined snowshoe tracks past the view point that is beyond the summit of Waumbek. They stop only a very short distance from the viewpoint. From there, it is unbroken and the blowdowns start in immediately. This was # 48 for my all in one season NH4Ks. |
