Comments
Comments: We debated in parking lot to stay with the plan or do the Kinsmans. Went with plan. Up OBP. Cold but very little of the wind predicted. Dusting of new snow. We all used light traction the whole day. Some may like snowshoes because of the televators. Some drifting. Winds were about 30 on summit of Lafayette. Was mostly at our back going across. Some drifting up high and enough ice that some might like more traction. Snowshoes if you are going up Fallling Waters would be preferable. Light traction down worked great. All trails are hard packed. Parts of OBP would not be wide enough for snowshoes.
Great day out with Karen, Fran and Kurt (First time on Franconia Ridge)
