Comments
Comments: trails were all packed out and solidified. the ski trail was packed down firm and wide to the first junction. old path had a solid broken track. a bit rough from mixed footwear use. new trail to south doublehead was less hard packed with some drifted snow. the steep climb up to north doublehead was heavily tracked out. the upper part of the ski trail was skied out wide and packed hard.

i booted to the first trail split then wore snowshoes the rest of the hike.

after bailing on my first hike choice due to unforeseen access issues i decided to take advantage of the clear skies to get some views up on doublehead. i got rained out on these peaks over the summer so it was a first time seeing the great views, particularly from the south peak and ledge just below. awesome. great to be out.
