Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on the southbound side of 93 just as a bunch of campers were clearing out. Lot was full the when I arrived and half-empty a few minutes later.

Comments: I went up Falling Waters and down Old Bridle. Given the FWT's reputation for ice, I put on my crampons right from the start. There turned out to be very little ice, but the crampons were still handy on the steep upper section of the trail. If you're doing the loop in the other direction, you probably needn't bother with them. Don't bother with snowshoes regardless.

I heard (but didn't see) some avalanches on the lower section of FWT, so be aware.

Once I got to the ridge, I only saw one other hiker the whole rest of the day. Apparently, some people actually heed windchill warnings. Can you believe those weirdos?! :-)
