Comments
Comments: What a great day! Blue skies and perfect visibility. The thing though was that it was as windy as the weather people said. Not that it was too bad with appropriate gear, but there was a steady 20-30 mph real estimate wind across the ridge from the south. It was at my back as I went CCW seeing the wind on cannon this morning was due south. Lafayette had some higher gusts. Temps were chilly in am, but not bad on ridge (teens). All trails were hard packed sidewalks, microspikes fine the whole way. Ice field below Lafayette snow covered no issue. Big waterfall on falling waters snow with kicksteps, only two steps on falling waters trail were sketchy ice. Old Bridal Path view areas getting a bit mushy after noon in sun, but everything is rock hard underneath. About 40 ish people out on this great day. Some photos will be in the new gallery on Monday on link below. Nice chatting with slow and steady, sorry for the exuberant yell atop Lafayette.
