Comments
Comments: I figured the Marion Davis trail would be well packed but I had no idea what to expect between the two peaks so I wore Microspikes and brought snowshoes. I found the Wapack trail was also well packed so I ditched my snowshoes in the woods on the north slope of South Pack. In the morning the trails were nice and crusty making for smooth hiking but they softened up in the afternoon leading to a slightly longer return - not to mention a couple of short butt slide opportunities. One set of postholes on the Marion Davis trail went all the way to the South Pack summit.

In the morning I had South Pack's summit all to myself - a rare occurrence. Even with spending an hour on the North Pack summit I did not see any other hikers on the trails, save for a few folks around the summit of South Pack upon my return.
