Comments
Comments: After a little initial trail confusion at the start, we made good time up Valley Way. The trail is well-packed the whole way up.
There was a little wind once the trees started dwindling away but things were surprisingly calm by the hut. Once we started up the Osgood trail the winds kicked up, probably in the 50ish mph range. The trail here had a few deep drifts but none more than about 10 feet long, definitely not worth lugging snowshoes up (especially with all the bare rock).
Definitely wished we had brought the sleds for the way down. Valley way is just the right steepness where you need a little help to get sliding consistently, so we had to hoof it most of the way.
