Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Manning had the tracks of a single bare-booter, who bailed on his summit attempt about a mile from the summit. We finished breaking out the Manning, and broke the Mowglis to Cardigan. The Clark from Cardigan had been well skied the day before, and was very packed down.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw none. Normally, I would've brought my dog... but the ice, extreme cold, and high winds forced me to reconsider. Good decision: the ice would've been too much for her.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day to be out. I used snowshoes from car-to-car, with the exception being Cardigan's summit cone. I used crampons to summit from the Firescrew Col, and went back to shoes at the Fire Warden's Cabin. Others made it with microspikes and snowshoes, but after donning crampons, I definitely had the easiest ascent. Lots of ice - Cairns and trees were solid blocks of clear ice.
