Comments
Comments: Champney is well packed. Lots of barebooters/crampons headed up when I was headed down. Not too bad to bareboot right now, but some postholes on the side of trail indicate, it is best to just wear shoes. I broke out west side trail, Middle sister from Champney to Middle sister, and Champney cutoff. There is some deep powder up there. I did the entire hike in snowshoes. A little ice near the summit of Chocorua almost warrants crampons. Middle sister is all snow.
