There was packed trail under the fresh snow during the week so trail breaking wasn't too hard to do. After view ledge the trail was not as well packed and snow was deeper so trail breaking to peak was more like hard work. I stopped .18 mile from peak due to late start and turn around time. This is a super trail. Glad I got to check it out. Views from view ledge were very fine so I wasn't disappointed about not making the main peak.
I stopped at Mt Cube Maple Syrup for some pancakes and syrup. They were open. Sap is not running yet. Been too cold.
I saw 4 cars parked at AT trail head north of mt Cube. I suspect that trail is broken out. |
