good plowed parking at the mead base. some icy spots on the dirt portions of the roads coming in from center sandwich to watch out for. impressive frost heaves on numerous roads in this area particularly on 113. |

the trail had been broken nicely, but was not really packed out. with the southern exposure the snow was quickly becoming wet and a little sticky. some drifting in of the track up high. the herd path to the northeast view ledges from the summit is broken out as well.
i wore snowshoes the whole hike.
a very nice summit. another one of those peaks i had never made it up before so i took full advantage of the beautiful day to check it out. beautiful hardwoods for much of the hike and fantastic views from the summit ledges and other ledges nearby. a little brisk with the wind on top.
