Comments
Comments: Cold Spring Road was a mixture of ice, black ice and mostly frozen mud. After that, other than a light set of ski tracks on the Cold Spring Trail and a small stretch of occasional snowshoe tracks from a bushwhacker on the upper portion of the Faraway Mountain Trail, these trails had not seen any activity for a little while so I broke the trails all the way to the summit of Mount Roberts. The Mount Roberts Trail is well trodden but a bit unstable. I opted to keep the snowshoes on for my descent - just without the extra floats.

I didn't see a sole until the summit of Mount Roberts where there must have been 12 to 15 people - many of which headed east on the High Ridge Trail. Hopefully they appreciated my efforts :) A great day to be out!
