| Comments: |
The upper third or so of these trails, in both directions, was very icy and snowy in the trees. Better when we got out onto the ledges, which were clear. We had no traction with us, and we moved slowly. If you are willing to sacrifice your micros on the rocks in between the icy sections, then they may be a good decision. I (Valerie) wished I had mine. The summit was quite a treat today with 40F, 40mph and low visibility. A reminder that nasty conditions pay no attention to the calendar. Still, a fun trip and got to see thousands of trout-lilies-to-be along the way! |
