Trails
Trails: Hedgehog Mountain Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, April 28, 2014
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the trailhead near the sharp turn on Hedgehog Mountain Road in Deering. If coming from the Route 149 side, it may be a good idea to park near the gravel pit (about a tenth of a mile before the trailhead), as there is a deep mud puddle and some moderately deep ruts after it. 4WD was needed.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of stepovers, but I suspect the lower portion of the trail is pretty new (judging by the blazing and footbed), so perhaps those will disappear with time.

Comments
Comments: While in the past this may have been a roadwalk, a trail has been marked which joins and separates from it in a few places (in particular to avoid 4WD mud pits).
Superb western views from the summit ledges.
Phone indicated the trail is 3/4 mile one way.
