| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked off of Whipple Road, which had some interesting new crushed stone sections. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Bridged, not that it mattered. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Colonel Whipple Trail was a mess! Much standing water and mud for its entire length. Bog bridging helpful at times, under water at others. An area of blowdowns as the trail approaches the pond required a work around. |

A few flying around, not bothersome. |

| Comments: |
A nice way to finish the day, sort of. The water and mud on Colonel Whipple Trail were a very unwelcome surprise, but the views from the Cherry Ponds were worth it, and the rain and hail. I didn't do my due diligence, because I would have realized that I could have accessed them from the Pondicherry Rail Trail... and all trails I took (with the exception of Little Cherry Pond Trail) aren't in the WMG. Oops! Still a great hike. |
