Beautiful day for hiking, 55-60 degrees with light winds. Down low, trail alternated between completely dry and moderate patches of mud. Started seeing patchy snow above ~2400', which became intermittent monorail for the last few tenths to the summit. Patchy ice, and occasional running water under/along this section of trail. Microspikes would have been more helpful than our trail runners, especially downhill, but doable without traction. Quartzite ledges at the top were dry, with expansive views from both summits. |
