Comments
Comments: Patchy snow on Walden trail above 2900 feet. Spring snow covers the trail above roughly 3050 feet, but it's not deep enough to warrant snowshoes (between Old Mast Road and Wonalancet Range Trail). We brought traction but didn't use it, since the snow and ice was soft and crunchy today. Snow at deepest spot was perhaps calf deep. Most of the time, it was just over ankle-deep. Little to no monorail. No biggie.

Walden Trail had the most moose poop I have ever seen on a trail!! About two tenths of a mile was covered in poop. It was quite astonishing.

Blog post with lots of photos will be up late Sunday evening.
