Comments
Comments: Needed snowshoes for about a mile from 2800 ft to tree line on Daniel Webster. Lost trail on first snow field above tree line, traversed left (south) to boulder field then cut back NW on boulders to trail. No signs of hiker travel on Daniel Webster since first snow, only bear and moose prints with some small game scat. Few pervious post holes on Pine link, lightly traveled, no monorail. Plan on extra time, plenty of snow in higher elevations requiring snowshoes on virgin terrain.
