Comments
Comments: I walked in to the pond in light rain. Luckily the early downpours had let up. I followed Pond rd up and took a logging rd up to the col between Goback and Savage. I went up Goback first through fairly open woods except very thick near the summit. I followed the ridge over to Savage through easy woods. I explored around the east facing cliffs. Despite the overcast there were some great views of Castle, Sugarloaf, and peaks south. I picked along the cliffs and came back out onto Pond rd above the cable barricade blocking ATVs. From there it was an easy walk back out with clearing skies. Another fun day out exploring.
