All of the water crossing were good until we reached A-Z trail. Water was high in the river on this trail. Managed to jump from rock to rock to get across. |

Wiley Trail pretty good with markings. Wiley Ridge has a lot of blow downs. Watch the trail easy to get confused. Trail from Mt Field to Mt Tom trail no blazes or markings can get confusing if you don't pay attention. |

| Comments: |
Good hike over all. We took 3 more 4000 footers of our list making that 19 that we have done so far. The Ethan Pond trail was in good shape with bare boots all the way to Wiley Ridge Trail. Wiley Ridge not to bad. Ice and snow between Wiley and field which made the hike a little longer than it probably should of taken. Avalon Trail was easy just a little tough at the river crossing. Only saw a few hikers on the trail. Beautiful weather, in the 60s until the summits where the wind was probably about 25-30mph. Visibility on Wiley was probably the best. A huge Thank You to Lorraine and Maurice from NJ for giving us a ride to our vehicle from the AMC hut to Ethan pond. Save about an additional 4miles to our trip. |
