Axed out 8 major blow downs on Rattle River and Kenduskeag. All trails blowdown free with the exception of a couple easy over and unders. Both Rattle River and Kenduskeag trail intersection signs damaged by blowdown. Rattle River trail sign split in three at lag bolts holes. Kenduskeag trail sign split in two but still attached to post. Both signs are one year old Forest Service cedar! |

| Comments: |
Bare booted entire trip. Snow and ice first started to appear at 3200'. North slopes in the dense old grow forest hold the most snow. No monorails or pervious foot traffic to help on Kenduskeag or Rattle River. Carter-Moriah trail had unstable monorail, less snow more ice. Another week and I'm sure it will be only a memory. Stony Brook completely free of snow or ice. |
