Black Mtn Pond Trail was easy to follow and very enjoyable, set up camp at Black Mtn. Pond the night of Wednesday 5/28/14. Temps dipped to 40F overnight. Beautiful setting and there was no one else there. Mary Cary Falls was a nice side-trip on the way back. I decided against returning via Guinea Pond Trail and the Notch Rd. due to the flooded condition of Guinea Pond Trail. The only people I saw were ascending Mt. Israel just as I returned to Mead Base. Overall a great trip. |
