Comments
Comments: Our quest to stand at every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed, brought us to Mount Israel #56 for us on the NH Fire Tower List. We started at the Mead Base Conservation Center and used the Wentworth Trail to ascend to the summit. The trail leads to a SW summit, but the true summit is another 75 yards further up the trail. It is a bump that sticks out like a sore thumb with great views. This mountain is also on 52 with a View list. We did find 2 Geocaches on this adventure. We did post a video on YouTube for anyone who is interested, just click the link.
