Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I drove along Hogan Road and parked across from the hydroelectric dam, as specified in the White Mountain Guide. The trailhead is less than a tenth of a mile up the dirt road from where you park. We walked right by it initially...some locals out for a walk turned us around and showed us the way. The entrance to the trail is directly across from a large sign warning of thin ice on the river.

Comments
Comments: There were a few sections of boot-sucking mud, otherwise, the trail was dry.

This peak kicked off our 21-peaks-in-7-weeks training period for our John Muir Trail thru-hike in August. I have a trip report on our blog.
