No real problems. Crossing at start of Red Ridge may get the bottom of your boots wet. |

Needs brushing in many places. A good deal of blowdowns, but none cause any problems. |

| Bugs: |
Huge swarms of skeeters for the first 1.5 miles, at 9 a.m. DEET a necessity. Lesser swarms for last 1.5 miles in mid-afternoon. No black flies seen. |

| Comments: |
Did the loop in reverse (up Red Ridge). Actually liked it this way - the exit hike seemed a lot shorter. Trails were quite muddy and wet at low elevations. Some wet spots up high. |
