good dry walking on the dirt access road. just before the summit lift i followed a bootleg ski trail and then a herd path to the northern high point. i then back tracked and followed another herd path up to the southern highpoint. though i had been up here before i had never compared the two in terms of elevation. my cheap digital altimeter says the southern (and seemingly more travelled) bump is just slightly higher though the usgs shows the spot summit elevation on the northern bump.
after a relatively short mid day hike i decided to head up loon for a bit more exercise. had the usual great views from the ski slopes and ledges on the summit bumps. great day to be out.
