Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked in the cleared area in the housing development about 0.7 mile up from parking lot on Rt 16; no one else there on my arrival at 2:45, nor on my departure at 7:35.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes: Trivial 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of widower makers hanging like the Swords of Damocles between the two upper stream crossings; water bars recently cleaned out, but broadleaf saplings encroaching the lower part of Stony Brook Trail cause one to get soaked after rainstorms such as those today. Lots of mud between ledge sections of C-M Trail. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of water on SBT, but less on C-M Trail; met one well-behaved dog heading north with a human entourage on C-M Trail.

Bugs: No bug issues today.

Comments: Waited for intense showers to leave area in early afternoon, such made for wet trails.
