Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: In Dummer, I took Hill Rd to Blake Road onto the logging road towards the right. When I was about due east of Little Cambridge Mtn, I turned left onto an older logging road (there was active logging on the main road to right) where I parked in a clearing and headed up past the 3 boulders from there. NOTE: the dotted line shown in the current Gazetteer is *not* a viable road at this point.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I actually came upon a small pile of discarded old (1920's-era) glass bottles, cans, and enamel pots in the woods between logged areas. :)

Comments
Comments: Probably not the most efficient way to seek out more firetower peak(s). As I said, I thought there would be an old road up to the ridge based on the Gazetteer. Not so. I found many overgrown raspberry-filled logging swaths from this direction. Got very scratched up because I wore shorts. Anyway, hazy views as I climbed. Found some moose bones in a pile, too. Got up to the ridge in about an hour - just west of the current tower site. Then, the ridge is bulldozed mostly, so, was fast walking.

Headed into the (remaining) woods for the lower peak and found the firetower remains (not too much). Then, headed along the ridge - fairly open in places - to the actual highpoint. At the actual highpoint, I did not find any actual firetower remains. From there, I headed back down the ridge to make a loop back to my car. Along the way, near my ascent route to the ridge, I found the refuse bottle pile and an old insulator identical to those used on firetowers of that era, so, I would assume one of the logging roads is actually the firetower access road towards the west end of the ridge.

From the ridge, I did try to find the old firetower access road/path but could not discern it amongst many of the logging roads/swaths.

A good day!!!! Took me about 4.5 hours for about 5.6 miles.
