Comments
Comments: Day 1 of 3, a bit of redline backpacking. A late start (2:45) up Beaver Brook, the cascades were gorgeous. Dropped my gear at the shelter, brought dinner and layers, and hiked to the summit. Cooked dinner on top, as the sun started to set. Clouds started forming over the peak, and it got cold quick, so I headed down while the sun was still up. Almost made it back to the shelter without needing my headlamp. Shared the shelter with a SOBO thru-hiker named Tomahawk.
