| Water Crossing Notes: |

There were two blowdowns (one walk over and one walk under) at around 3000 feet on the ascent. There were a few faded or missing trail blazes. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I had to help my 10 lb chihuahua on three steeper sections of Carter ledge, but he did the rest easily. He enjoyed the ledges. |

| Comments: |
The Carter Ledge Trail is amazing but if you are nervous hiking ledges bring a friend who can help you get through it, or choose the less exciting but very pretty trail on the western side of Mt. Chocorua, Champney Falls instead. I would consider this a moderate level hike with killer views. |
