Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All rock-hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blowdowns. Some are duck-unders, some are scoot-overs. I removed some branches and snags on some of the blowdowns to clear the path a little. The next step is chainsaws.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The lower crossing of Nancy Brook could be tough for small dogs. Plenty of water on route.
Bugs
Bugs: No bugs in the morning, a few black flies at lunch at Norcross Pond, and some on the way back down to the trailhead.

Comments
Comments: Trail's in pretty good shape. Above the Nancy Cascades in the flat area leading to the ponds there's quite a bit of mud on the trail, and several of the old puncheons are either rotted or broken (at Nancy Pond there are two large piles of wood for new puncheons), but sinking into the mud is avoidable with carefully chosen steps.

Quiet, beautiful day on the trail. Met just two other people the whole day.
