Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found quite a few empty snack wrappers that I took out. Would very much like to get them back to their owner, maybe with a LNT pamphlet. :)

Comments
Comments: They have begun timber harvesting at base of trail. Dirt road leads to a massive muddy, branch filled area. Stay left and you'll see an arrow sign indicating the trail at the back left of this clearing. Were surprisingly dry trail conditions to start until just before summit of South Moat. Rains and fog came in there and made everything a slick mess. Decided to turn back just after Middle Moat summit. Descent was very slick and tedious. Upper ledges on and around summits weren't bad but after that it was pretty treacherous. There is a section in the trees between summit cone ledges and open ledges toward bottom that descends a rocky spine that was wet and covered with leaves and pine needles and standing water. Was very awkward with some small scrambles. The lower ledges were extremely slick from moss, leaves and water. I actually bushwhacked many of these after a near fall. There is also a steep rocky section that goes along a long waterfall type ledge after the ledges end (descending) that had horrible footing: roots, leaves, loose gravel and many of the stones in this area were loose. Take extra care descending in this area. Definitely coming back to do this trail in good weather. Absolutely spectacular even in the rain.
