| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Livermore Trail had several larger blowdowns - surprisingly. Here and there blowdowns. East end of Kate Sleeper Trail to east of East Sleeper has had AMAZING work on blowdown removal. I have never seen SO MANY blowdowns cleared out!!!! WOW!!!!! Looked like a microburst went thru there. |

Very fun revisit of these trails! I hadn't been on the tripyramid slides in a few years... was kind of surprised by all the avalanche debris at the base of the north slide!!!! Base of north slide very slippery but good footing, as usual, higher up. From there, the usual route over the ridge and out the Kate Sleeper Trail over to Whiteface - such a peaceful area. On my way back I explored a couple of the old logging roads but they just petered out. I was hoping they would connect to the old Woodbury Trail but I ran out of time and headed back. Didn't see more than a handful of people out there - sorry I missed N&C who left a note on my car :) I jogged the flats and saved time there but then the slides always take me a LOT of time. |
