Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking on the opposite side of 302 across from the trailhead. Maybe enough for four cars.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 4 crossings. 3 minor/very easy. 4th one was easy as well but took a bit of pondering before crossing to assure dry feet on the other side.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This trail is steep (endless switchbacks) with alot of wet roots and, right now, covered with leaves. Careful footing, especially coming down is key. Only saw 4 people on this hike. Worth the trip. Views from the summit are spectacular.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A dog who is used to the steeps could do this. A very young and "inexperienced" dog I would not recommend this trail.

Comments
Comments: Steep with lots of switchbacks. I am glad I had my poles with me for the hike down. Obviously, not a heavily traveled trail. We were rewarded with a beautiful day and breathtaking views from the summit. Worth the climb. Did not go over to Owl's Cliff; 1 mile over from the summit. We may try that via Rob Brook Road to the Brunel Trail at some point.
