1st car in the lot at 6:15 am, followed by 2 more as we left the TH. 5 when we returned. 30 degrees at the TH. |

Some poor bug trying to get warm as it crossed the trail. One spider also crawling very slow. |

No snow down low but just a couple hundred in elev gain and into traces. Steadily increased on the way up. Packed trail from the steep section on Glencliff to the summit. Beautiful today, round trip in about 6 hrs. Met some folks coming up, scored some great pics of the undercast and blue sky above. Washinton visible, and Lafayette/Lincoln peeking up through the clouds. Wind about 25-30. Was melting well in the late morning so trail a little more slick on the way down. Around 10 am it was 35 degrees at the junction of Glencliff and the Carriage Rd. Near 50 at the base when back at the lot. Had the MicroSpikes but never did put them on. |
