This hike brought us to Black Mountain, Jackson NH, #92 on the list of 92 fire towers that are standing, once stood or were proposed. It is the final obtainable one we can do. We started at the trailhead for the Black Mountain Ski Trail and followed the trail up to the cabin. There were two cellar holes that we saw along the way. The cabin can be rented and will sleep 8 people. The summit is 0.4 miles from the cabin and we did find remains from the tower. This mountain is also on the 52 with a View list. The trail itself was muddy in areas and maintained a steady incline.
We did post a video of the hike for anyone interested in seeing it. Just click the link.
