we pulled into small lot at 8:15 and lot was filled with a total of 4 cars. others parked on the side of the road. left at 3:30...no issues with the gate(s) |

if i remember correctly, one tree across Unknown Pond and one across Bunnell, but easily stepped over. |

trace snow at the trail head and up to 3(?) inches on the ridge. cold / breezy day. views were obscured by clouds. put spikes on at the top end of Bunnell Notch and kept them on for the descent. saw a few hikers without spikes, but they seemed to be fine. |
