Good breezy day for a steep hike up to Webster with no problem getting too hot. Bare-booted up most of the way up then put on my micro-spikes near the summit and kept them on for the return back to the parking lot. Met up with Jason on the way up and enjoyed hiking with him to the Webster summit, he kept on going to Jackson. Saw 4 other hikers on Webster but they did not stay long as it was brutally cold with the wind gusting and they went back toward Jackson. The descent was no problem with the micro-spikes and really enjoyed the views on the way down. For more on this hike and others please see the link to my blog below. |
